My local dealer is getting 8, Galpin Ford is getting 10. The higher the volume Mustang sales the more allotment. Not every dealer will get one

I know not every dealer is getting one cause there's more than 1964 dealers out there. But every dealer that is getting them know by now if they're getting them or not.
I thought Ford was going through their lottery system like they did with Cobra Jet and not by high volume allotment.

I'm champing at the bit to order my mustang, but the dealer I've been talking to keeps screwing around and he knows nothing about the new mustang. He keeps having to ask another person and get back to me. I told him I'm coming in Friday and putting an order in, if he can't do it then I go to another dealership. Seems like he doesn't want my business. It's killing me! But I want to give him one more chance.

Don,

your priority is set to 99 which means it wont be built. Contact Deysha for info.
Got my real Order and Priority Numbers:
Order Number B001
Priority Number 11

Now, does anyone know what do these numbers mean?

I've talked to 3 dealers today and they all said non refundable deposit only. And two of them told me they aren't expecting them until November or December...

I know what you mean. I got order number 15 with a priority of 10.
Some info from Five Oh Brian:

When I place orders for a customer (a retail order), I have to give it a priority code from 10-19. Orders for store inventory (a stock order) gets a 20-89 priority code. Priority codes tell Ford which order the dealer wants them built in, from lowest # to highest. Cars only compete against the same model within the same dealership, so I can put a 10 on a Mustang and a 10 on a Focus, and they don't affect each other. However, a 10 on a Mustang V6 trumps an 11 on a GT, so you have to compare your own priority code on a Mustang order against all the other Mustangs ordered at that dealership.

The regional offices can pull an order ahead of all others for that dealer by assigning an "01" priority code. This is usually done for specialty vehicles and/or when a customer calls in to complain about an order taking too long.

Keep in mind that a higher # can be built before a lower # if the parts aren't all available for the lower #'d car.

So, does the counter start over every day? month? or year? or does the counter recycle? So, for example on 5/20 20 mustangs were ordered, then on Tuesday, 30 more mustangs were ordered. Would Tuesday start over again at B001? Or would they start at B020? Also, does the B stand for anything. Perhaps dealer stock is A001, then I got the first custom order B0001? Thanks....

Only 133 days till delivery (plus or minus a month) :kickrock:
