Thanks for the clarification. Either way it looks ridiculous.

I bet within a month of this car being released people are complaining about the cup holder locations.

I have a buddy who has an Lexus IS350f and the cup holders are in the same general area. He hates the cup holders and the dealer told him its the #1 complaint about the car. The cup holders are a little farther forward in the Mustang so hopefully it wont be as bad.

I'm glad they are moved back and to the right of the shifter. The current location in the S197 is terrible if you have a water bottle in there and need to shift quick. For automatics it's not a big deal. My FOX doesn't even have cup holders...maybe that's a sign: Don't drink and drive! LOL. I'm glad the door is gone too.

I'll admit, the cupholders will be a complaint of mine.

Not nearly as bad as the afterthought they are in the scion fr-s, but still seem lame.

Had a horrible incident once where I had to slam on my brakes and my giant mug filled with coffee went flying forward spilling on the gear selector and traction switches and my phone.

was not a good day...

right now my biggest gripe on the interior are the plain gauges for tach and speed.

I think with this being the "future" mustang they could at least make the speed digital with an analog tachometer, similar to the civic si and scion fr-s.

I always liked the retro gauges on the 04-05 etc especially with the my color option.

anyone know if the '15 will have that option?

Agreed. Unfortunately if their past tendencies are any indication, that tach and speedo will be the only choice for v6/i4/GT models and the SVT will be the ones with cooler ones. It really does look like something from a 90's economy car

Mustangs have always had blah looking gauges. I wish they had c7 style instrumentation.

The coat hook on the back of the headrest is just hideous and plain stupid on the convertible model. Who wants to drive around looking at that when the top is down?? Awful.

Technically you couldn't drive and look at it at the same time, unless you were driving from the back seat. So, be sure to either be the driver or call shotgun!

It's not about whether I'm looking at it so much (although I will be, for sure, as I approach and leave the vehicle) as it is about how the car appears from the road by others. I can only hope aftermarket will take care of this design mistake asap!
