The BMW looks dated with the Hugh greenhouse look. Looks like it was born a sedan and made into a coupe. Kind of like the 05 GTO. They need a fresh design . That straight six has to rev to make power. What's it like to just drive around town ?
5 years ago I loved these cars but the competition has passed it by.

I'm probably sticking with my E92 for awhile as well...see what plays out. Still in love with this car.

Just got the 19X10 and 19X11 wheels installed with Mich PSS 275/30/19 and 295/30/19s.

Still very interested in the GT350 though.

Dave
I'm sure it's a nice driving car, but it looks like it has a serious over-bite problem.

The "angry beaver" bimmer.

The coupes have a large greenhouse because they are designed as true four seaters. You can actually fit adults in the back seats.

I took these pictures next to a friends' car. Just a 4 Series, ix with the "M Sport" appearance package or whatever:

Car and Driver just did a test on the DCT equipped F80 M3, unbelievable numbers.

The 0-150 time of 20.8 seconds...unreal!

Here is the review..

Kinda cool that C&D still uses hand written test report sheets.

The review was interesting, and about the same as most others I've seen. It was extremely complimentary of the raw performance, but less so of the fun-factor. Quite likely the opposite of what we see for the Mustang.

The looks are growing on me (especially the sedan version), but I still have very little desire to own one. Love all the E9X photos above though. That is still my favorite M3 I think.

long time BMW fan here. recent to the fords. I have had e46 M3 with MT and an e90 and an e92. arguably the most fun, best handling car i've driven. However, for the buck, the mustang hands down beats an M anything. I have more fun in the Mustang 5.0 then I have had in any of my previous cars. just my two cents.
it was a toss between the M235i or the 5.0. obviously the Mustang won :)

I'm also a BMW fan and have had 5 new BMW's. I've ordered a 2 series convertible for my wife, but like you I'm looking at a Mustang as my next car now they come right had drive. It's not the money I have always liked the Mustang.

Okay, new developments...

That 435ix that I posted about early is, in fact, not stock. Friend was just messing with me, and many others and kept it very secret. It has an intake, tune, and downpipe good for ~450ft/lbs and something like 360hp.

SO. An exact tie between my car (stock GT, apart from exhaust and suspension work) and a 435ix with intake, tune, and downpipe from 40-115. With the same mods I'd take it, but the AWD will always win from a dig.
