Taxes and emission fees indeed... And the ftype is 'stripped' so once you get your options on its a lot more expensive...

But it is crazy that the Mustang (even the ecoboost which I'm looking at is way up there in luxury county)
Wow I just realized that the GT with premium setting costs over 150.000€ and the Ecoboost with premium right around 95.000€ in Norway.

That's totally ridiculous. How the People of Norway are not rioting over these insane price policies is beyond me.

The german people would've already hunted all politicans through the streets with pitchforks and torches if they tried that. :paddle:

It's not about the people in germany, it would destroy Volkswagen (incl. Audi) , BMW, Mercedes, etc and with that the whole economy in germany.
We have enough politicians who demand high taxes for cars and a general speedlimit on the Autobahn...

That's what happened in Italy: we don't have taxes like Norway, but the stupid 'luxury' tax on cars with over 185 Kw had destroyed the car economy here: manufacturers, dealers mechanics, all the economy linked to medium/hig end cars.

Nowadays the best selling car in Italy (land of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti) is... the Fiat Panda :tsk:
It is indeed a cost-effective car, but... c'mon!

This reflect very well our situation.

I have a new (twin set grill) GT look for my ecoboost - like the agressive look- and got the runing pony instead of the faux gas cap for the back which is great on my '66 (in fact on that car it's a real gas cap) but can't imagine to be great on the 2015... (My feeling, don't like 'faux' things in general))
If you order a GT at start grill is fine of course...

Sure there will be US drivers interested in buying my original EU faux gas cap back panel...(have a couple interested already..)
Haha. Chuck the GT badge on the back and the 5.0 on the side. People will think you have a GT. Then you start going and they hear!:D

Yeah that's true. My blood starts boiling even thinking about all those lefties and green idiots...

Luckily every time they became part of the government they got sat down by lobbyists and quickly abandoned these ideas ;)

Any serious attempt of reducing the hp of our cars or introducing general speed limits everywhere surely would result in public uproar.

I won't do that :), would love to have a V8 but taxes makes it a 'No Go' in Belgium. I have a V8 code A in my '66 no taxes (as considered as oldtimer) just as you in '67 I presume...

I will however upgrade the exhaust on the Ecoboost to a Ford Racing touring axleback kit (if it gets through CE regulations).

The GT grill looks more agressive than the humble Ecoboost one...Just trying to figure out if I can swap the lower part as well as the lower grill seems to be special for the 'block heater' functions and not sure if the swap will affect the functionalitities of this heater...

My government charged 5% tax for hybrid engines for 2-3 years. People bought tons of Lexus etc with 4 l engines and the next year, the gov said: "you all will pay the same, no exceptions."
Imagine all the 4 L owners paying 1500€ tax when last year they payed 75€...

This is why we often call our government 'the robberment' (In dutch it's adding one letter to the word: "overheid" -> "roverheid")

It's sad indeed. That's why I'm prolly moving just over the border in Germany. Need to have had a V8 at some point in my life and I have this feeling it won't be long and they'll go exstinct :)

You dead on there. In 10 years any performance cars will sound like a remote controlled one because they'll all be electric and even if they are fast they will probably drive themselves and you'll only be allowed to go solo on a track.
Now is the end of days for the beast we love so enjoy them so you can tell the grandkids.

Sad but true.

Our grandchildren will tell us: what did you put in the engine? Oil? For what reason? The same we put in a salad?

We don't riot - we drive tax free super Teslas instead (highest per capita in the world) :/

Where did you get your grille untamed? Would be looking for some myself (or the 50th but I hear that runs $900!!!)

They buy back original parts from cars going to Tuners (I guess) and sell them as almost new, and they are perfect and packed in perfect sized carton boxes with plastic 'bubble' protection.
Smooth transaction, payment via paypal, shipped within a week.
TPT is rather expensive ($150 to BE) but parts aren't, compared with what's available in Germany!

Just keep in mind the lower part will be a No Go with the special block heater bottom grill.

Aww. Would have been funny to see peoples faces when they thought that a eco was a GT. In the fact of taxes, I don't even think we have much tax for v8s at all. I don't know about my 67, I'll have to check!

It's fun (and sad) to read this, when here even the 2.3L is a luxury car. At the moment we have to pay 760 eur yearly road tax and 920 eur yearly luxury tax. The 5.0L would be really out of question: 1000 eur annual tax and 1500 eur annual luxury tax!
