And for clarification the SCJ's 429 is not the same semi-hemi engine used in the Boss 429 but rather a 385-series engine.

The Boss9 engine is still 385 based, but with lots of custom work, namely the heads.

Yup you are correct, I just wanted to distinguish between the two engines as some might think being the same displacement meant they were the same engine.

Cool. I can't tell you how many people have told me that they have Boss 302s, while all they had was regular 302s, even 2Vs in most cases!
