Here are my pictures from the Mach 1 track tour. Ford put on a really nice show for us. The 0 to 100 to 0 in the GT 500 was quite impressive. But the acceleration was not as impressive as the braking. 100 to 0 at maximum braking is simply violent.
Then we were able to take Mach 1s out on the track. I was fortunate enough to drive a handling package with a six speed behind the instructor. What a fun and incredible car. And interestingly, they put us in a sort of Hans device.
Jim Owens was present and fun to listen to and speak with. Interestingly, he stated that one of the reasons the Mach e is a Mustang is for café purposes and to increase the average mpg for the mustang lineup.
Ford gave us a nice little schwag bag at the end of the event
Kudos to Ford for putting this on in these strange times. Enjoy the pics.
