I have recently started to get a break squeal in the front right brake on my 2015 gt with the performance package. I brought it in to the dealership only for them to tell me they couldn't guarantee a fix and that it would be $890 to replace the one rotor and brake pad. Has anyone else had this problem? What are my other options to make this annoying squeal go away?

Metallic brake pad dust. Either live with it or switch your pads.

And just for your reference, I bought new front POWER STOP Z23 pads for my car and they cost $52 shipped to my door. As a bonus, you won't have to clean your wheels so much either.

I would be very surprised if you need new rotors already, unless there is something wrong with your brakes.

Changing the pads is very easy and took me about an hour and a half with ample beer drinking and shooting the breeze with my buddy.

$890 for one rotor and one pair of pads? Find a new dealership ASAP.

So many...
Proper backing plates, high-temp lube and CDC Anti-Squeal spray do wonders. As well - slotted rotors do help this, particularly on dusty pads.

Trust me - you don't know what combating brake noise is until you've done it on an EVO X...
