Here in the NW, Ford doesn't offer special lease rates on GT's - only EcoBoosts and V6's - so that 2.99% rate isn't even remotely possible here in the NW. Ford Credit only shows standard lease rates on GT's, which is 2-3 times higher.
I hate to say "I told you so," but I did. Just sayin'.....

Original BULLSHIT quote:
MSRP: 34910
XPLAN: 32914
$0 down
$929.48 due at signing
39mo/10.5k
59% RV
2.99%(.00125) MF
$429/month including tax
.
So I FINALLY got my deal. It's not as good as the original, but it's pretty damn good IMO.

MSRP: 35260
XPLAN: 33413
~$1500 down
$2000 total due at signing
39mo/10.5k
59% RV
5.61% (.00233) MF
$450/month including tax

Black with Ebony cloth
6 Speed Auto
Enhanced Security Package
3.55 LSD
18" Foundry Black Wheels
Spare Wheel/Tire

I go to sign the paperwork tomorrow morning. The one thing that I noticed is the $699 Doc Fees. He said he will rework that down the the $100 (Xplan Cap) so... that'll either make the payment less or reduce my "due at signing" by $599. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait to get a damn exhaust already!

Why would you put a down payment on a lease?

Why would you put a down payment on a lease?
Isn't that obvious? Because I wanted to buy down the payment.

I know if the car is totaled, I'm out 1500-(payments made*50), but that would be the least of my worries. I know I could have put that money in an interest-bearing account, but the $50 that would've netted me over 3 years wouldn't help me retire on some tropical island before I turn 40. I'm happier with a $450 payment than I would be with a $500 payment.
