And what would we have learned if the body codes were different? They're totally meaningless to anyone but Ford.

What we have learned (if this is real and accurate) like the other screenshot in another thread, is that there will be a Shelby for MY 2015. We also know from this that the I4 is probably just an engine upgrade over the base and therefore unlikely to get its own badge.

This part is key. I could have just as easily posted the 2015 VIN decoder which also shows the Shelby in the lineup but is clearly a placeholder until real information is revealed.

Whether it's real and accurate is always the caveat for any info that is not from Ford, no?

I admit I do not know enough about Ford's vehicles, but I would think the best way to verify this is to check the body codes for the other vehicles on that chart. Ford is revamping a lot of its line up next year. It should be obvious what year this is for.

You guys think there's any chance this could be the GT500 with a carryover engine (hence the quicker launch date)?

Good interesting find. It's looking more and more like the Shelby name isn't going away anytime soon.

This mean the I4 will be an upgrade option or some kind of special package like a turbo or ecoboost package on top of the base?

Not surprised, the Shelby name is valuable to Ford. It's that simple.

When the description of P8A is "V6 Coupe" then I find it highly illogical that the I4 would only be an option code.

The turbo 4 cylinder engine will simply be an option code for the base model
disappointed to read this I thought it would be a premium model with the V6 only coming as a base 'rental car'.

I also see that the Raptor will make it in the new F150 immediately.
There was people saying it would skip 15 and be a 16 model.

They put ECOBOOST badges on everything else. I bet they'll stick one on the back somewhere. No need for a separate model.

Look at the Fiesta. 5 door sedan ST? The 4 door is a sedan and the 5 door is a hatch. There's no sedan ST.

Funny that it says "Econoline OLD". Maybe it's just a placeholder.

I don't see it happening. They were aware enough to remove the ford logo on the back of the 05 (as was originally planned). I think ford gets that enthusiasts are very sensitive about generic badging on the Mustang. They already got rid of the fake gas cap, why ruin such a clean look...

This is how the v6 and the i4 will look like both being the Mustang. I agree I don't see them slapping on some ugly ecoboost badge on that.
