Hi all, first post here but been a lurker for a while.

This is my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost Premium in Deep Impact Blue, black leather interior. I created a mesh / neoprene grille and mounted a tri-bar pony, and cut the stock grille's open honeycomb section out (center) and then drilled and mounted it with black cable ties. I also just had 10" stripes with a 1" gap added today and wanted to share!

Great job! Maybe someone will make a grill like that. I'd really like to see one similar to what Saleen did in the past with around 7 black heavy looking lateral slats across.

Thanks! The good news is you don't even have to pop the hood to do what I did.

Hey Warhead, that looks incredibly good! I love the classic white on dark blue look. I also like how you sort of gave it a Shelby look without using Shelby badges or anything tacky like that. In short, your ride looks sick. I would love to copy that if I ended up with a DIB. How did you do your stripes? Are they vinyl?

Andrew, thanks and glad you like it. Those are 3M 180 bright white stripes.

I have never been a big fan of "tribute" / fake badged anythings...

Also have a 71 Mach 1 in the shop, should have it out by summer to share that as well.

PS: I notice your profile says you are considering the Ruby Red. That color is absolutely stunning in person, but I've always leaned blue (I have an '05 convertible in Vista Blue).

That is probably the best looking grill I've seen! Great work! And blue with white stripes is a killer combo, I fell in love for that color combo on the mid 90s Vipers...and I'm not even a blue car fan.

What part of SC? I'm right outside of Columbia and there are a few other members from the Columbia area and SC in general here.

And that's essentially the grill the Pony Package should have. Looks great!

Blue and white, in any combination, look so good on the Mustang IMO. Nice job!

Have any close up pics of how you did this? And pics from inside the engine bay. I really like the look of that grill.

My son and I have been talking about making them to sell on eBay (I bought a second grille to have on the bench to design it, and built a template from it) but I can tell you it is simply perforated mesh cut to size and surrounded by a rubber frame! We did not take any pics from the engine bay, this was all done without ever popping the hood.

I do have some pics I can get from him to post, showing how the grille was cut (small hand held hacksaw) and where we drilled to mount with black cable ties (11").
