Shelby GT350 supplement

Pg 25: "Operating at High Speeds and on Track Days
Your vehicle is capable of sustained high speeds and track day driving if equipped with powertrain coolers (Track, R model)."

Also pg25: "- For sustained high speeds or track day use with a Base or Tech model, we recommend that transmission and differential coolers are added. Your vehicle has electronic controls to reduce power and/or limit RPM to reduce powertrain temperatures if required."

You asked for the info... that took two seconds to find and I read before buying. I also remember several other warnings before I ordered.

But hey if it make you feel better to cry about it and get mad at someone on the internet then go for it. I'm the bad guy. There you can be happy till you hit limp mode again. Just PM me next time and remind me I'm a bad person so you can feel better again. Take care Peace Out.

This whole thread is a re-run.
I don't know what all you guys expect! This thread is 2684 post old! Noting is going to change anything unless you do it yourself or have someone do it for you. It's the same bitching now for over a year !

And that shows that this real issue for the effected owners. I don't know why non-effected owners have to continuously stir the pot with "I was smarter than you and bought the right car"

From reading and watching what Ford put out prior to placing my order, I felt I could get the tech as a daily driver and track it limited times a year. Kind of like a Mustang GT; which Ford told me that this was better than on a track. If Ford had clearly said "UP FRONT" that we need the coolers to get the promised performance than I would had bought the track package, or a different car.

I prioritized daily driving over track driving, based on the info Ford provided at the time. Agree or not, Ford was deceptive with what this car could do in all trims. And for Ford to play dumb about the problem is why I have lost faith in them as a company.

This is real simple to fix. Ford offers a $3000 package, that either includes its own warranty or is covered by the existing warranty.

That info wasn't available when I put down my deposit, plus if it had been, it should had been included with the same advertising that Ford put out.

It was... They almost always say vehicle shown has optional equipment. I read many warnings and info pointing me to track pack.

Some people ordered before any details were released. That seems like a mistake in itself.

I originally came to this thread to see if a solution had been found. If no solution found, I was going to use my retirement time to build a kit. Not for monitary gain but for fun and help out the community. After seeing the attitude of many people. I'm thinking no thanks. I bet people at Ford Performance have similar idea. I bet they're keeping their distance till everything calms down.

It's a sad paradigm. Grown people shaming themselves and advertising they know nothing about cars, bragging they did no indepentent research and no fudge-giving to due diligence... all to gain self-perceived victimhood for nonexistent personal gain.

If you feel offended I'm sorry but ford did publish the options in print and on the internet before the order banks opened. Again like I said before ford fked up not making them all with coolers. I'm not stirring the pot but how long are you gonna cry over spilt milk? It's been the same subject for nearly 2 years now. I don't think ford is to blame for SOME people's decision to get a base/tech pack that use the car for normal street driving when the coolers are available on a track /R. They also make it clear that coolers are needed on base/tech cars IF TRACKED.
I'm not disagreeing with you. And honestly I've tried helping out to you guys by posting info from my track pack car for you guys. Such as part numbers, photos, electrical schematics, etc. so solution could be made.

Seems like every month or so there's the same kind of flare up in this forum....Rehashing what should have been known and when....Base/Tech owners are just a bunch of cry babies....
While I've appreciated the helpful details given by non B/T owners in finding solutions, any other editorializing isn't wanted or sought, at least by me.

I would encourage my B/T brethren and sistren not to bite at these posts.

I am happy to update the first post with all the cooling options that are currently available. It will make things easier for owners finding this thread for the first time. If someone could send me an organized list of the options I'll post them.

Tank, I like a lot of your posts, but this and posts like these are way out of line. It won't help anything and only keeps this going more.

Thanks Minn19. I should've put that in quotes or something like that. I was just trying to express some of the impressions I get when I read the editorials!

I get it, I've had my battles over the subject and have said my peace/moved on for the most part. I do think if people just stop responding with inflammatory posts that the thread will die a natural death.

I think the argument that if you bought a Tech or Base model, you got what you paid for because you should have bought the R or Track if you planned on tracking your car is flawed, for ONE reason. Guys are hitting limp mode on the street. Un%$@$acceptable!
