Does anyone know what the oil temp looks like when the tranny goes limp?
Is there a preferred temp range for oil? For tranny? For differential?
Again sorry for dumb questions but not as mechanically inclined like most of you, so trying to understand.

It may already have been answered but I can't seem to find the answer.
Is there any predictability of limp mode based on oil temp? Do we know at what temp the transmission is when it goes limp?
I think it's 250 or 260... I could be wrong but don't think it's to far from that.

Tranny will go into limp mode by 280 F. Track operating temps with the factory cooler tend to be around 220-240 F, although that will vary by driver, track, ambient conditions, etc. Daily driving with the factory cooler keeps transmission temps below 200 F.

I don't have data on the differential temps, so someone else will have to chime in.

Under the variety of conditions that I have monitored, the differential stays 30-40 degrees below the transmission, without coolers on either.
If I see my differential heating up, I can switch on the cooling pump and the temperature will drop by 25-30% in about 1 minute.

when mine went into limp mode last summer the engine oil was 296 and the transmission was 285

I get to these temps just driving around and hit the high end esp. when coming off the highway...

The gauge is wired direct and fully independent of the cars systems, I didn't go through the harness.

Wow, spoke to my dealer, won't match Bear Lake tranny price
Yeah, I called Tommy Vaughn here in Houston. Sales Manager claimed they were one of the largest Ford Performance dealers in the country. His pricing for the tranny and cooler was not even close to AutoNation WBL. I would have preferred to order locally, but Mike at AWBL was great to work with and both parts are being drop-shipped from Ford. Now unfortunately, I have to wait for the parts to become available and ship. No ETA from Mike or Issac (Ford Performance). I bought an M3 for upcoming track days since I can't use my 350. Something is very wrong about that... (please don't start flaming me, I'm just following the suggestions in the owners supplement, but alas, they don't have coolers available well over a year after I bought the car...)
