I like to disassemble things.
I have installed mine. Just waiting to swap in the new transmission, which may be happening very soon
I can't wait to see this go down. Gonna be a heck of an upgrade!

Thanks for all the detail.

I wanted to start with the FP track pack cooler kit (not the one with the tranny) but it looks like the kit is back ordered. I like the idea of the radiator and brackets dropping in to the factory location and then I just need to deal with the pump, electrical and lines.

This forum is a great help thanks again all.
Has anyone purchased and installed the FP kit yet? I haven't seen one on the forum yet, but they're back ordered?
Consider cherry picking the parts you can actually use from the cooler 'kit'. No need to pay extra for stuff you dont need. The list of parts is in this thread. Also remember the OEM duct is not included in the 'kit'. This p/n is also in this thread..

I was referring to the cooler kit only, not the full swap. Good luck with the install!
the cooler kit comes with all sorts of bits that you dont need.

Order the duct, the radiator and the support bracket. The rest of the stuff you dont need.

you'll hit the hardware store for a few bolts and use aftermarket for the rest.

The cooler kit is all one setup, and totally separate from the transmission.

The transmission comes all on its own, without any of the cooler kit components.

I have ordered both together, but they are still two separate part numbers. There is no part number for a full swap

If you have questions about the cooler kit I can provide the answers for you.

I'm starting with the 03-1040 pump at 1 GPM to save on space and determine how well it works. I believe the rating on the factory trans pump is 1.5 GPM. If I need to upgrade to a 2 GPM (03-1034) pump it will be easy to do.
You can get the same pump through Amazon from BoostDoctors for $80 less than RB.
fyi- the factory transmission pumps 3GPM.

the 2 GPM rbracing pump flows enough to do the job. its about 1.5 inches shorter than the 3GPM model.

It may already have been answered but I can't seem to find the answer.
Is there any predictability of limp mode based on oil temp? Do we know at what temp the transmission is when it goes limp?

I've ordered a bunch of parts from them as well. They are supposed to have most of it next week. No word on when the transmission will arrive, though.

Limp Mode

Somewhere between 270 and 300 deg F trans temp triggers limp mode. Highest I've seen is 199 after a 1 hr drive in the summer, but it does keep climbing, imagine if I kept driving would have kept going up without a trans cooler.
