I agree with this. It is the manufacturer's job to prove that what you did caused the failure, not your job to prove it didn't.

And who enforces that when a dealer and manufacturers deny the warranty claim based on aftermarket parts that are mods to original equipment?

I'm sure a manufacturers lawyer is much more experienced at fighting those court cases than my lawyer.

I am going to add a litttle perspective to this conversation since everything here is pretty negative.

OEM radio is charging roughly $2600 in parts to fully upgrade the track pack audio system to Sync 3 that came in the tech package. New bezel, wiring, touch screen, toggle switches, etc. That does not include installation if you aren't doing it yourself.

Ford's option to add the transmission cooler is $695 + the cost of a pump and lines. Someone else in this thread estimated that to be about $1300, but others have done it for less. The rear diff cooler is not available yet but is not a necessity since most of the tech pack owners, myself included, won't be doing a lot of hard core tracking. Let's say on the high end the rear diff setup either DIY or from Ford costs $1300 also. This puts you at $2600 without labor for adequate cooling.

The perspective costs for the track pack to upgrade the electronics, and tech pack to add coolers is around $2600 for both. This is still less than the cost of the 17 model at sticker, and less Than what you would lose by selling your current car and buying a 17.

More tuners will continue to develop options and a local race shop could develop one for you as well for the same cost since it's not that difficult. I am just not seeing how the cost for the upgrade, or parts involved are not what anyone expected when they bought a tech pack for street use and planned to upgrade it later. It all sounds so dismal and bleak when I come in here, when in reality the upgrades were discussing have been done by racers for decades without much fuss.

Finally they tell us the cooler kit is available but we find out we can not order it. Next they will not tell us what the cooler kit includes but from what they are saying the kit contains little more than a radiator pulled off the parts shelf. Does anyone else feel like they are having a nightmare or feel like this is just a big joke from Ford Performance. This whole thing is making me loose my mind. I need to dump this worthless GT350 Ford has the nerve to call an automobile.:(:rant:

Not to agree with lemers but in reality they can just say it's not covered and you as the consumer are not left with many options.

I spoke to Ford Performance and these can be ordered. They just can be ordered through conventional means. Ford wants to limit distribution to just tech pack owners. Also they explained what is in the kits. One is the track pack transmission, the other is everything else needed to install the track pack cooler. No this is nothing new. But all the parts are assembled in kit form and available at hopefully less cost than through the dealer parts network.

For me I knew nothing of the shortcomings of a Tech Pack car. I had no idea it would need coolers, not only to track it as I had no plans to do so, but just for spirited street use. I understand not being able to beat the car relentlessly at the track and that if you wanted to do that you needed the Track Pack car. I do believe Ford dropped the ball here. They all should have had coolers, period. It's a Shelby GT350 for Christ sake. I know I didn't pay for them, had I known it absolutely needed them I obviously would have. Like I said before Ford selling this car with these limitations is equivalent to having erectile dysfunction when there are girls lined up wanting you.... Disappointing and embarrassing. Again I completely understand not being able to spend all day tracking the car, but the car left Ford lacking something it absolutely needs. Anyone who acts as if they don't get this is just being difficult. The car basically out performs itself and does it without effort. Would you guys with Track Packs be okay with the Radio on your cars shutting off if you turned them up half way? No, even if you didn't intend to ever listen to it you would say it's defective.

All of this being said I've modded cars my whole life and can easily make this one function as well, just would have never thought I would have to.

I'm sorry but you're wrong here. These are legit bitches. If I and most everyone else had known that these cars were so ill equipped without the coolers we would not have bought them. I would have either bought a Track Pack or waited for a 17.

This will hopefully provide some answers for you guys. Also, as I have said before, Shelby American customer support can only confirm that they are also working on a Transmission Cooler Solution but it is still a month out. I do not have any track plans until next year so I was going to take the winter and figure out a solution for my car. Thus I will be waiting to see what Shelby American does.

This isn't meant to sway anyone one way or the other either. FP won't ship until mid December so they are obviously trying to set up a list and ship accordingly. If you want your kit soon then I suggest you get it. Shelby American will probably be more of the same anyway. I just like having options and mine hasn't hit limp mode on the streets. I will say that if it did, I would be royally pissed and in here everyday harping about it.

The rear diff is also something I want to tackle as well. We seriously do not need more guys going out with tranny coolers and burning up their diff on the track which is what I'm afraid of. I guess time will tell.

So for someone who doesn't want a entire transmission, what are the factory cooler line connections? What AN fittings would someone need etc.? How can this possibly be taking so long just to get simple info? They're factory parts, nothing was "developed".
