Beware of idiots
Out of the 2841 Techs produced in '16, how many are having this problem (on the street)? You keep talking lawyer and class action, but your class is really quite small. Any lawsuit will have to be paid for out of your pocket because there is no money in this for any lawyer to take your case. This is going to cost somebody a whole lot of money to litigate. If Ford does not fix the tech trans we need to do more than avoid the brand. When all is said and done and Ford does not fix the problem we need to file a class action law suit.

Out of the 2841 tech cars, I don't think that the vast majority of people are having limp mode issues at all. Most everyone affected are using the car on the track. My advice for the folks who are experiencing limp on the street is to document and insist that the car be repaired by the dealer. After so many attempted (failed) repairs, you are looking at a lemon law issue.
Maybe you all should be approaching it from that angle.
The Bluetooth OBD scanners are probably the easiest way to gather documentation. Set them up, monitor and record the vitals, and then drive around on the street and try to force it into limp mode. Take it to the dealer and then repeat.
I wish you guys the best with this. I really hope that you get some results. If this was happening to all the 2841 tech cars produced on the street all the time, I think you would have more momentum.Have you taken action yet? If not it is time to do so. This is a list of things that need to be done.
1- File a complaint with NHTSA. USMCO341 link at post #847.
2- Send Mark Fields an email. lemers link at post #826.
3-Call Ford Performance 1-800-367-3788. It was suggested the calls would be made in mass on Sept. 12th. How do you guys feel about that date?
4-Submit a story to Ford Social. The more submissions they get the better. It may draw some attention even if they don't print it.
Posting on this forum alone will not be enough to get our issue fixed. We all need to get the above list completed.

Best of luck.
