hey everyone new to the forums and i cant seem to decide if i want to make the purchase of a new mustang. I currently drive a maxima and i cant make my mind up i have always wanted a mustang and with this new mustang i cant help but to love it. if anyone could help me with some information such as MPG you get, if anyone drove the mustang in the snow and how it did. the max only gets about 20mpg and it sucks in the snow because of the rims/tires i would be guessing. any information would be awesome. the mustang would end up being my daily driver.

You'll love the Mustang over the maxima for sure. There should be a MPG thread on here already, but a lot depends on driving habits and your regular commute. I have not driven the 15 in the snow but I had snow tires for my 08 GT and it was awesome in the snow. Definitely budget to have a set of snow tires if you live in an area that gets a lot of it.

Your thread specifically says GT PP so I'm assuming that's your question regarding tires? Anyway, there are numerous threads on here about this. The GT PP tires are summer only and should not be used below 40 degrees. Most people have said they had virtually no traction in cold weather, so I imagine in snow it would be like ice skates.

I have the stock GT wheels and they drove fine in the snow. Granted, my commute is only about 15 minutes to work and most of the roads are always plowed. I never felt un-safe and couldn't say it's any worse than most cars. I'm a big believer in driving intelligence and when your brain tells you to drive slower, you should do it.
