Ford Performance just dropped 2 NEW CRATE ENGINES!

“Megazilla 2.0” is a 7.3-liter Godzilla-based motor rated at 1,000+ horsepower thanks to forged pistons, connecting rods, along with a steel crank, ported/polished cylinder heads, and upgraded valve springs, topped with (you guessed it), a Gen.6 3.0L Whipple Supercharger.

The other, a Gen.4 5.0 Coyote from the Dark Horse with 800+ horsepower & 615 lb.-ft. of torque, with a reprogrammed powertrain control module, and more hinted.

Per Ford Performance, these are expected to be available starting Late 2025.

Now this is interesting. I wonder if ford will let us tune this one, and if they do, I wonder if people will be able to swap the pcm into factory cars.

They talked about this when they showed the gen 4 crates last spring

The gen 4X is the tunable one, with a single throttle body.

They also said you can't just stick one in a S650, it won't recognize the PCM and won't run.

Its the same deal with the gen 2 and 3 control packs. The ford racing control packs have the rear O2's deleted, there is no driver for the FPDM, hence the need for a return fuel system, and the security key code system has been deleted. Ford racing even states on the website that using a control pack PCM in a S550 will result in a no start condition.
I would expect the same with the new gen 4 control packs
