There will be no difference on mildly modded NA cars. I would choose based on what's more readily available or if you have plans to stay mild or get aggressive down the road.

You've got to be pushing serious, serious air to really make use of a 3" exhaust..it'll be louder basically.

The 2.5" kits, like the FRPP Touring or Sport will support all the flow you need and will cut 30lbs out of the car. The stock exhaust is good for well over 500WHP.

You "can" make 1000 HP with 2.5 inch exhaust, but that doesn't mean that it "supports" 1000 HP.... 2.5 is good up to 425-450 before it begins to restrict more HP (airflow). How much an exhaust supports is not based on how much you can make with it, it's based on at what point it stops freeing up more power. The stock exhaust is good for up to 500 rwhp but what happens at 500? Does the exhaust fall off? no, but at 450 rwhp I bet there will start to be some gains by going up in size, more gains the more power you make.....then it becomes a value proposition and more grey area.

This might sound like a tarded question but is this to the crank or the wheels?
