I talked to Ford about this, the "Hot Rod" wiring kit is not avail. Yet. The complete engine is available from Ford but at a high price. Was looking to put one in my Pinto, but you can do a New 5.0 for the same price.

True their originally released product was intended for a STI wrx drivetrain, but as of like oct or something of last year they announced they were working on incorporating the 2.3 engine into that kit. I think that's what he's referring to. I don't recall what transmission they said they were going to use. Maybe it is the STI transmission

They also incorporated the s550s new IRS into some of their other kits as well.
They built an 818 with the 2.3 on Power Block a couple of weeks back. Don't recall what they said the tranny but the engine is mid mounted and the half shafts plugged into it.

Beat me to it. Im gonna build a 818c and was hoping to do ecoboost for it. Factory five will hook you uo chassis wise but 2.3 ecos are insanely expensive!!!

I was at the Factory 5 Open House last year when they unveiled the coup version of the 818. Definitely a cool car but I can see it being mistaken for something you would buy at your local dealer. If I was to make the commitment to build a car I would want something that wouldn't be mistaken for anything else, either the Daytona Coupe or 33 they sell. To many Cobras in my area to be interested in building on each of those.

Thats why I built the Coupe. No one else had one, now there is two close other than my old one. Thats why I decided on the D type. No one has one of those.
