It is a pain in the ass to use the line lock. The 1st time I went I used it. This time I did not. It seems like the guy is yelling at me to start the burn out and I was still trying to initiate the line lock.

On the stock tires I was launching at 3,000. The initial start line was gripping, but after it would roll I was loosing traction. Plus when I was shifting it would spin in 2nd and 3rd.

I am going to the same dyno today, this time with the steeda intake and flex fuel tune.

Good to know. I guess I'm wondering if the car will try to roll forward after I'm staged. I'll have 1 foot on the gas & the other on the clutch. That's why I thought the LL would be useful. On a video it said you have 15 seconds to get going. The only thing I didn't understand is what button you press so you can nail the gas. I'm just a little hazy on that part.

I cut real good lights. When the 1st yellow lights up I say On your mark, on the 2nd yellow I say get set, and as soon as the 3rd yellow lights I say go and nail it. I've beaten many guys who couldn't play the tree right. In any event it will be fun. I'm waiting until my car gets 1000 miles on it & then I'll go racing. Luckily, we have a drag strip 20 mins. from my house.

Next month all the big NHRA guys will be here in W. Palm Beach, FL for their own test and tune. I guess CA is way too cold in Jan. for John Force & co. I met all the rail & funny car people last year. It's a fun time. They even had 6 jet dragsters. Can't wait for next month.

I've never rolled at the starting line, line lock to me would be useless for that anyhow, takes too long to engage it . to disengage it would be the left arrow on the steering wheel. Usually the starting line is sticky and perfectly level ground so you won't roll

Last time at the dyno, I had a lund 93 tune only.

Today I went back to the same dyno, with a Steeda intake and flex fuel tune running about e30-e40

So it looks like the Flex tune is what gave you the extra power.

Line lock is only for burnouts.... on my other cars in the past, when I would have issues with rolling at the starting line, I would hold the button on the emergency brake and hold it till launch.

looks like the 93 tune made slightly more power down low?
