It is cool that they are open, and decent weather.

I have a MT PP, so when I cross the finish line I am around 7,500 rpms
Do you think it's worth shifting to 5th?

Simmons
Same with me, if I were you and you think your going to have multiple passes I'd try shifting around 7000 for 1 pass into 5th gear just to see the outcome. You'll be at the peak torque when you hit 5th. Good luck man
The pass will be slower if you shift to 5th most likely.

The track was slippery,......I would get wheel spin going to 2nd, and going to 3rd.

Here is my best DA was 866

Looking at the R/T. You might want to take up bracket racing.

Awesome run! Great time and mph. What rpm were you launching? Can't believe you got the traction to pull a 1.9 60 on that track lol

I kept trying different rpm, that run was 3,000 and it worked.

The next run it spun at the same rpm? That was my best 60ft all day.

I am starting to think that there is something wrong with my car. The best I have gotten was a 13.7 at 107 with a 2.4 60' which I know the 60' is terrible. How are you not having just horrendous wheel hop through all of first all of second and into third? If I go wide open at all in first or most of second it starts hopping and if I am going for the third gear shift it hops through the shift and into third gear. I don't get it.
Try launching at idle. Track prep is everything. Same car different preps with similar weather I've seen a 3-4th difference with my old car. Practice makes perfect. I only made it to the track 1 time with my s550 and I will say I struggled getting a good launch other than leaving at idle. I'm hopeing for a good prep the first warm day in the spring. If getting a good et is important trade her in on an auto, they seem to be hooking really well.

2 questions. Do you use the line lock @ the track? If so, do you pre stage & then initiate LL and how does it work? I have not tried the LL on the st. yet to get familiar with it. The other ques. is what rpms did you launch at with stock tires? Thanks.

It is a pain in the ass to use the line lock. The 1st time I went I used it. This time I did not. It seems like the guy is yelling at me to start the burn out and I was still trying to initiate the line lock.

On the stock tires I was launching at 3,000. The initial start line was gripping, but after it would roll I was loosing traction. Plus when I was shifting it would spin in 2nd and 3rd.

I am going to the same dyno today, this time with the steeda intake and flex fuel tune.

Last time at the dyno, I had a lund 93 tune only.

Today I went back to the same dyno, with a Steeda intake and flex fuel tune running about e30-e40

That's great rwhp peak ! If you had full e85 in the tank I'm curious what kind of HP youd make, most definitely a gain across the whole rpm stretch

The problem is, there is no good e85 around here this time of year.
