Base Sync audio system has stopped working. Only radio & CD working. No Bluetooth. No phone. No voice commands. Nothing. I called Ford. Ford walked me though a master reset & rebooted of the Sync system. Still no good. Now the fun begins. It's off to Ted Russell Ford/Lincoln in Knoxville,TN next week. They only have 1 guy who knows anything about Ford Sync system. I hope he can figure it out. Has anyone had this little problem?

Yup. Multiple on and off cycles did not help either. I considered pulling the battery cables but after 20 mins of waiting around, it worked again on my next restart.

thanks

Ok. I have been sitting in this car for 2hrs. Trying to get it working. So I'll wait for a hour and then try it again. I hope this works. I really don't want the dealer making things worse. Haha

Try pulling the cables and let it sit overnight. Maybe that'll be enough. Or the fuse(s) that control it. If you pull the cables, remember the ECU goes through a learning cycle for the engine.

happy news

Ok. I been waiting to try it again. Ok. I waited and it still didn't work. So I started to goggle. And someone said pulled the Sync radio 10amp fuse from the right side of the passenger side floor. It's a pain to get the cover off. But it worked. I'm a happy man. It's fuse #32. A 10amp fuse. Easy fix. Check the owners manual. Page 206 & 207.

I had Sync acting up the other day, wouldn't pair with any phones but soon went away after a few start ups. Nice to know you found a quick fix, thanks for sharing.

I think its kinda messed up that FORD TECHS on this forum kinda just brush the base gt audio under the rug. I cant say Ive got a solid answer from them, regarding patch updates or if theyre working on fixing our problems.

Anyone else notice that when you mute a song it sometime pauses the song? Thats the most frustrating thing for me when using Sync. Other than that I've really had no issues.

It pauses the song if it is playing from an iPod, CD or SD card and mutes it if it is the radio. It's not a glitch

Your "radio" is bad. No big deal. They will swap it out. Stuff happens.

Had this problem. Have dealer replace your APIMs. You can clear it by pulling the battery cable for 10 minutes. But it'll come back.

I still had problems after the APIM replacement as well, but everything stopped when I didn't allow the radio to download the phonebook or messages.
