This is some useful info, do you have a step by step on how to do this? I’m putting a Suncoast valve body and need to put the new storage code for it but have no clue how to do this

I couldnt see the option to halt adaptive learning using forscan, as above, if you could provide the steps taken to access this.

What version of forscan are you using?

Given you have option to Halt and Resume adaptive learning, it doesn't appear to be a huge risk to give it a try.
At least its reversible if the results are not ideal.

Is there a Forscan forum or site that lists all of the sensors/options that you are able to access?

2.3.55 appears to be the latest version for windows, came out July 5th. Try installing that one and see if it helps

I've heard they took away the ability to update firmware. Does your version allow firmware flashing?

Also my version allows going back to factory as built over the internet.

The difference is night and day and both normal mode and sports mode. It actually behaves like a normal transmission now.
Sports mode was too much fun and it doesn’t completely punish me on every single upshift anymore.

Sounds a lot like when you reset the learned parameters which you did when you said you cleared it.

Now hoping this doesn't go away eg. it actually disabled the learning, so get back to us in a few days.

Yeah hopefully the reset + disabling it makes stay away for good.

Overall I’m very happy after turning off adaptive transmission learning, it made a fun car that much more “traditional” and enjoyable. Also started playing around with paddle shifting the past few days, the downshifts are crazy. Did I mention this was a fun car?

Have you noticed the 3, 2, 1, downshifts when coming to a stop are smoother?

It’s a shame I had to do this for it to behave normal but it’s such a simple fix and I’m happy now

I did what you did on my buddies 10R80 last night. He wants to buy you a two-four haha.

Have just made the changes, reset the transmission settings and halted Adaptive Learning, wont have a chance to drive the car for a while, will post up the results in a week or so.
