Production date was supposed to be on Tuesday 3/27 (blend date), as well as Muligans, and we are 260 and 265. I'd check your blend date on your window sticker and you should be able to guess from there.
Thanks for your fast response....96 Cobra......... also have you been checking cotusford.com and where is the blend date on the sticker?

My production date was given as the week of March 19th, according to Cotus

However, production actually started the week before on March 15 th, lasted for 10 working days, and this morning was finally listed as “ Awaiting Transport “

It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, my wife said, you weren’t this excited when we had the kids......:D

Hey......96cobra

Its Friday March 23rd...... does that mean it was built before both yours and Muligans Shelby’s

Therefore , it’s chassis number is less than.......#260.... as Muligan mentioned previously

Just sort of extrapolating things out here.... if PP0001's car (JR157) had a blend date of 3/6 and mine (JR265) had a blend date of 3/27, that means they built 108 cars in three weeks, or 36 cars per week. So, if yours had a blend date of 3/23, then I'm guessing your chassis number will be in the 240s.

Looks like they are up to JR315 as of today.... according to a source, there may be quite a few more to come with production running a bit longer than originally suggested.

Last I heard, they were up to JR360. Scuttlebutt around the factory is that they're going to shoot for more than originally planned for '18.... maybe nearly as high as '17. Nothing official from Ford, though, other than the memo from last year that said '18 R model production would be a short year and down by 55%.

My dealer is expecting to get mine a few days before the estimated arrival date, which would be around 03/28 or so. Just based on trying to extrapolate based on info from here, guessing it will be in the 170 range.
So ... I now know my car is JR195.

It had a blend date of 03/14, was ready for shipment on 03/20, and was supposed to be delivered to my dealer on 03/28 ... but due to all sorts of stripe and / or shipping delays at FRAP, I am just now picking her up next week.

Is that more or on par with the previous bulletin for the reduced availability of R models?

Soooo they're basically full of shit and just lying to consumers to promote a false shortage and thus keep prices high....

Jim Owens originally said the production run would mirror the Boss 302... I.e a 2 year run. I was surprised when they announced a 2017 model, but figured they didn't count 2015 due to such a limited number of units. Then comes 2018 and the "shorter" build year and lower numbers. Lone behold, they're beyond those numbers and will go well beyond before the model year closes out. And now there is a 2019...

Note to self; trust NOTHING that any Ford Exec or official says regarding production numbers. They don't care if they lie or change their mind as long as it puts money in the companies pockets.

Doesn't bother me that they're building more, but I thought for certain that 2017 was the last model year, at which time I bought a pre-built car and didn't have choices regarding the color or stripe or package. I have no regrets as it turned out I absolutely love the black/white stripes combo, but had I known there would be several more years of production I would have held off and waited for a local allocation that I could customize. Probably would have ordered a white or grabber blue had I had a choice, and would have saved a lot of money in travelling to another province to buy the car (ferries, hotels, etc.).
