Installed my manifold on Friday. Submitted for revision with VMP at 10:45am and got the base tune sent by 1pm.

The vaccum lines confused the crap out of me. Still not 100% sure I did it correct, but I am not throwing any codes after 300mile trip. Several hits.

Driveavility is fine for now. Cruises just fine. Has a power curve that I think is because of the tune. 4.5k up to 7k it really comes alive. Hoping a revised tune can iron that out.

This manifold is supposed to come alive at higher RPM. That's how it is.

Throw up a pic of your lines.

Also that's kinda how this manifold is. It's plenty strong from 2000-4000 but man does it pull after that.

I went off a mixture of Lunds install guide and the guide I was sent from vmp. Confused me longer than I want to admit.

You've got something funky going on there. You should have the one fat connection to the manifold to the aspirator (as you do), along with the one on the back/pass side of the CAI (as you do). The small port on the driver side of the CAI should be capped, as should the small, forward facing port on the manifold. You have IMRCs locked out or active?

Edit: leave the drivers side CAI port hooked up as is, but cap the forward facing small port on the manifold and the bung that line connects to on the aspirator.

IMRC active. I used a mixture of vmp and lund install directions. Here is what they showed. I’m not sure the vacuum 2 line is placed right.

So since you have a manual car, you only need the following to have IMRCs active:
1 connection from manifold to brake booster tube (plastic tube on top of the fuel rail)
1 connection from manifold or CAI to IMRC solenoid
1 connection from manifold to Evap valve

And that's it. You could remove the aspirator (the thing wrapped in foam) entirely and cap everything else off. The aspirator is there primarily to provide an extra feed for the booster for automatic cars to resist the torque converter when stopped in D. Manual cars do not need more than one feed, and they only do it this way to keep the 5.0L trim the same. The special, manual-only engines (Voodoo, Bullitt) only have one feed specifically for the booster.

@Theisland check out @Strokerswild build thread. He has the dimensions to make brackets to fit the cover. I called up a buddy that’s a machinist in the area, gave him the specs, and he’s working on them this week.

What I'd recommend so that you always have good, consistent vacuum for the IMRCs is to have all your vacuum connections on the manifold, and cap off all the vacuum ports on the CAI (leave the driver's side PCV connection though). There are three available on the manifold, outside of the passenger side PCV port.

Thanks for the heads up. He was actually kind enough to put me that way as well. I got some quotes for a machine shop to make the pieces but so far they're asking for what I thi k is too much - >$150. Luckily my friends dad is a machinist for a major airplane manufacturer and he offered to make the pieces for me.

Yes. These are the LU47 injectors that I am using my car. This is what most everyone uses.

MPN# M-9593-LU47

I haven't tried the E85 yet. I might try that today just to see how it runs.
