It's been about 9 months since I've posted anything so I thought I'd share my update. My car is a 2015 model and was ordered 5/20/2014 and built October 2014. I took delivery the day after Thanksgiving 2014. I now have a slightly more than 18,000 miles on the car. The only problem I've had with the car is the "brake squeal" that some may recall was an issue with the earliest production cars. That problem went away after my dealer installed new discs and pads May 2015 per a TSB.

Otherwise, the car has had zero problems and has been an absolute blast to drive. It handles great, it's quiet inside, tight as a drum with no squeaks, rattles, or wind whistles, etc. Just perfect.

My commute is about 2/3 stop-n-go morning and afternoon. Combine that with non-commute driving I'd estimate my driving is about 50/50 city/hwy. I'm averaging 20.5 MPG (6-speed manual, 3.31:1 diff) using regular unleaded.

I change the oil at 5,000 mile intervals (yeah, I know about the oil eol indicator) and the engine uses less than a half-quart of oil inbetween oil changes. The engine is the quietest 5.0L I've owned (I had a 2011 that had the engine "tick" and my 2013 was a bit noisy). It has a real precision sound. I'm also happy with the exhaust sound. At first, I thought I wanted louder exhaust but every aftermarket kit I've heard sounded "raspy" and I hate that. It seems that my stock exhaust is a tad bit louder now. Just right for my ears.

I got lots of compliments on my car when I first picked it up and they haven't let up yet. A week doesn't go by when people tell me they love my car, honk to give m a thumbs up, or roll their windows down at stoplights to tell me "cool car!" I've owned lots of cars in my life time and none have ever gotten as much attention as this car.

Ford got just about everything right on this car. This one is a keeper.

I hope everyone else is having the same or better experience as me!

Enjoy these photos of my car.

Mustang#16 , thanks for the update. Im as fortunate as you with my s550 as I approach a year of ownership. I got lucky and never had the brake squeal though. But I do have a few of the panel fitment issues I never resolved (black paint hides em well lol)...Did you perform your own oil changes? Im near 5,000 miles and getting ready to change my oil for first time.

Glad you're enjoying your Mustang hiccup. This is the first car that I have not performed my own oil changes. My dealer included a free oil/filter change package. So, it saves me a few dollars. I've had really good experience with the Motorcraft semi-syn 5w-20 oil that Ford's dealers use. My dealer does good work and I trust 'em with my car.

Glad you are enjoying! I was a member since you on the forums, though not as early of a buyer. Mine now has just over 15k miles, and my experience it he same. It has been a fantastic car, have the same options as well (50th package and spare tire only). No issues at all except that I can feel some vibration through the clutch petal, though I believe it is nothing to be concerned about. Not getting quite your mileage, but the convertible is a little heavier and I drive with the top down a good portion of the time, which cuts the mileage as well. It has been a pure joy, and I get a ton of compliments especially when it is well washed polished and the sun is out where the color really pops. :)

Ours were built the same week...I remember you and I having similar problems getting our cars delivered. I finally picked mine up 11/26/2014 and have 21,000 problem free miles. Glad to hear things are good with you.

Good to hear from you doulos4jc! Yep, I remember you as well. Those were fun times back when we were all waiting for our cars to be built and delivered. I'm glad to hear your car is doing well too.

Hey, I'm in that club too! 5/20/14 order date, built 10/15 Just over 17,200 miles. Only issues for me were the brake recall and Sync problems. I need to get it back in to have the Sync reflashed or replaced. Now my back up camera is flickering, but I think that is the screen more than the video signal.

They had to replace my BCM in December 2014 cuz my brake lights weren't working. Been doing 7500 mile oil changes and I am at 21k miles now. Otherwise it's been a reliable Ford.
