Just returned from a three day trip covering 1500 miles from Iowa to NW Ark to NE Ark and back to Iowa. Car is '15 EB Prem 6MT. First day was interstate driving all way with cruise control set at 76, but several slow downs due to construction. Super comfortable car to drive, seemed like I was going downhill all the time. Stereo was great, car was quiet, and got 33 mpg. Next day I drove around town a bit, then took the backroads across northern Arkansas for 200+ miles, some 4 lane, some 2 lane, some real twisty state highways with lots of tight curves. The car is pure and precise in taking curves. The new IRS is great, much better than my '06 GT vert. Mileage dropped a bit, but still upper 20's. Last day was 600 miles from NE Ark back to central Iowa. The first 90 miles was on smooth blacktop with lots of fun curves to play on. Absolutely fun. Next 200 miles was on 4 lane at 73. Final 300 miles was on interstate at 76 mph again. The miles just flew by, great music and easy driving.
With the EB, the power is great from 2500 rpm and up. Passing cars on the two lane is impressive. On the interstate I used the normal driving mode. But for around town and on curvy roads, the Sport+ mode is key to really enjoying the ride. Normal mode around town is not fun after using Sport+.
Overall, on both curvy roads, 2 lane and interstate this car is a joy to drive. The leather bucket seats give great support, and the car is really fun. Overall mpg was 32 for the whole 1500 miles. Also got lots of admiring looks from fellow drivers. I think I'll enjoy this for the next few years.
