17 Engine Cover

Does/has anyone know how to cut a 17 engine cover to fit an 18 intake manifold? The 18 intake looks ugly on a 17 with all the hoses showing. Would like to cut my 17 down to get it to fit. I painted the intake black before I out it in, but would still like to get the cover on.

I dont think its possible. The tabs wont match up. I have seen some people cut the 18-20 engine covers on each side.

There have been a few that made adapter plates to make them fit .

Sorry guys, been away awhile. Thanks for the information. Looks like I need to find an 18 some place or just start cutting and heat gluing mine to work. Good thing I live in Michigan and the winters are long.
