Hey Guys,

Got a mate sending me his 5.0 Manifold cover to paint, how easy is it to split the center matte bit off surrounded by the grey plastic.

Asking as he wants them different colours. They look like they're plastic riveted together so i'm guess I have to drill them out.

And then as for putting it back together what's the best way to go if it is rivets that drilling would it be a nut and bolt job?

If it's just screws that need undoing, let me know because that's way easier.

Cheers all :)!

It's plastic welded together, so you'll need to drill them out. Most people just use a nut and bolt to attach them back together.

I drilled mine, and then just used aluminum rivets to pull it back together.

I just masked the different parts off no need to separate them
