Im looking for opinions on what year I should look at. I have no intention of tracking a GT350. It's going to be a weekend / hobby car for me. With that being said, I'm not too sure if I should be looking at GT350's with the oil / trans coolers and magnaride (2017) or go with a cheaper variation of a '16 that doesnt include those things. My question is, am I missing out if I don't get those options? Trying to narrow down what actually makes sense for me to buy. I do like sync three, with the larger screen, so that is the only "must have" for me. IThanks.

If you are gonna never track it and don't want recaros then '16 tech makes more sense. If you want recaros and the big screen, then '17 or up is your only option.

You get the big screen with the 16 teck pkg. and heated/cooled leather seats. But you don't get the differential and transmission coolers.

I went with a 17. Just picked mine up a few days ago. Getting the tech/track packages together was a no brainer for me.

!7 with the convenience pack if you can find it. Brings all the tech you want, track options, and gives you the nice heated and cool seats.

A '16 Tech Pack can be had for "cheap" on the scale of GT350 pricing. Just realize, when you sell, it'll be sold for "cheap". I traded my '16 Tech in for a '16 R. My advice, buy once.

Go with a 16 much cheaper. Magnaride is nothing special on these cars. My previous car 2016 5.0 with kw V3 coilovers will kill a Shelby with magna ride in handling department.

I have a base 2016, no magneride or diff/trans coolers. I'm not interested in tracking the car either, have had no issues related to not having extra coolers, trans temps rarely over 200 on most drives (I got the trans cooler guage to show up with ForScan). I push it hard at times, but try not to end up in jail. I can't see the coolers issue ever being a problem for me unless I suddenly decide i want to track it.

Handles great with the fixed dampers, I haven't seen or heard complaints from others on this issue either. The 2016 tech pack has magneride though, just not the coolers. The only models without magneride are 2016 base.

Go 17. its nice having coolers and IF you ever were to change your mind about going to a few track events....your covered. Also, Magnaride is important. Dont let them tell you its just a gimmick. It aint. its an exceptional piece of kit.

I would go with a 2017 model as well. In my opinion, every model of the GT350 really should have been set up from the start with a transmission cooler. Even if you don't trigger limp mode the transmission will be running hotter than preferred all the time.
