Anyone know of an equivalent site, for the Focus RS..? Or where the most in-depth info can be found..?

If they get this one right, I may be in line for this one... Especially with Cobb loving the EB platform.

The only thing the RS has going for it as the AWD and the lower curb weight. Cost wise its going to be much more than the Ecoboost and comparable to the GT. But it still looks like every other 4 door hatchback on the street while the Mustang looks unique.

The RS won't make an appearance as AWD. If by some miracle it does, expect it to be in the 40k+ range.

To me, it just does not make sense for Ford to engineer the Focus chassis to be AWD for one special model especially since it has never offered the RS as AWD before.

I sure hope I am wrong though. I hope they can slap Focus sheetmetal on an Escape floor pan.

If the car ends up being FWD I really don't know what it's competitors will be at that price range. It will end up competing with the STI I feel, and people seriously considering an STI won't be cross shopping a FWD 350hp Focus.
It's a miracle!!!

Should be interesting to see the price. I'm not really into 4 doors, but if it's close in performance to Mustang but quite a bit cheaper I would be interested. I don't expect it to be near the GT, but could it be faster and cheaper than the EcoBoost?

I know when I looked at the ST, it was slower and a couple grand more than a V6 Mustang, so that was a non-starter for me.

No way the RS ends up cheaper than an ecoboost Mustang - but there's also no way it ends up slower. My guess is before dealer markup, you could probably get an RS for the same price of an ecoboost premium, but it won't matter given how limited the production will be.

If you can get your hands on an RS, buy it right now. Look at how well the other limited production performance vehicles have held their value, such as the old RS or the Boss 302. Worst come worst you sell it and profit.

I don't remember reading it, but, is this a 1 year deal for the RS? Or will it depend on sales/orders in the U.S.?

Pricing and availability info will be out later this year, it's looking like we won't see the RS until 2016 sometime. I'm not that patient so I will be getting something else in the meantime. I really, really want the GT350 so I'll most likely end up getting a Focus ST and save for the beautiful GT350.

People in here stating that the RS may or may not be as good as the GT, in ANY category are purely delusional or super big fanboys. Not sure. I'll wait until the final numbers are announced, but on a car that'll weigh maybe 3200 lbs with awd, a twin scroll turbo and sport tuned EVERYTHING, I can't see it not outperforming the EB by a mile and the GT by a slim margin. At least. BUT, like I said, I'll reserve my permafeels for the finalized numbers and curb weight.

Side note- I heard it's going to start at or around 40k. Hopefully that's for a loaded model.

Oh I'm sure the RS will walk all over the EB and give the GT a run for its money in the power department. As great as the new Mustang is I just don't see it coming all that close to the RS in terms of handling. That isn't a slight at the Mustang at all, in fact it's a compliment because there's no way you could put a stock '14 GT up against even a FoST in terms of handling.

I am a vendor for Ford and one of the guys involved with the RS said it'll be priced similiarly to the Golf R so expect a $35-40k sticker. It'll be a great car, Ford is really dominating the performance market imo. And more to come by 2020?! I can't wait.

Yeah, probably the route I will be taking but getting the Eco. Prem. w/PP. I wasn't expecting but was hoping to be pleasantly surprised that they would have an automatic trans. option. Still, it looks like a great car and should be a beast on the street/track.

The ST weighs over 3200 pounds. You want to explain to me how they will cut weight by adding awd, dropping a bigger engine in it, bigger wheels, bigger brakes, etc.?
