Thanks for any insights.
Nothing substantial - some problems were fixed, sone cost reductions (as every manufacturer does) were introduce to where Ford though customers won't notice. Nothing to really debate about, unless you want a specific color or those weird hood turn signals.

Generally I suggest people go for 16 or 17 unless they plan on swapping out MFT/Sync 2.

The 2016’s had the turn signals in the hood. Cool looking but not necessary. But Sync 3 is important. There was update that allowed the use of CarPlay but the USB hub will need to be upgraded. Others changes are shown in the articles below.

That's what I thought. In fact I was ready to disconnect to avoid the embarrassment of passengers commenting that only one indicator is visible to the driver. Then I realized the dash cam has a higher viewpoint and can "see" both. Good to have if using turn signals mattered in some legal dispute.

I believe 2016+ added a differential temperature sensor, which is worthwhile if you plan on using the car on track.

They also changed the cupholders in 2016+, I personally prefer the updated version over the 2015.

They did but it's still not a visible measure on the dash, just that you now get a warning when it gets too hot. Nice feature, but it would be great if it could be monitored in the dash just like CHT and others.

I believe only PP cars have that feature.

Thank you - and yes, it is my intention to track the car.
