They did but it's still not a visible measure on the dash, just that you now get a warning when it gets too hot. Nice feature, but it would be great if it could be monitored in the dash just like CHT and others.
Can’t even do it with Forscan. Doesn’t make sense to me but I guess it’s not supposed to

Probably worth noting that all 3 years have trouble with the AC evaporator core going out. Dash has to be torn apart to fix it.

Gracias - and they also have trouble with the AC Schrader valves failing, tho that is a cheap fix.

Nothing substantial - some problems were fixed, sone cost reductions (as every manufacturer does) were introduce to where Ford though customers won't notice. Nothing to really debate about, unless you want a specific color or those weird hood turn signals.
What cost reduction steps specifically were undertaken?

If I may - what was purpose of the SD slot?
Anything a USB port would be used for. For me it would have been for 5,000+ songs. SD cards are a better choice than USB drives for that. But after 2015 they decided to just provide one and USB won. USB is the logical choice if just 1 since more people have USB drives. But sucks to delete the superior one instead of keeping both.

Interesting. I never thought of putting music on an SD, only photos.

If I remember correctly - passenger seat in Premium cars lost a bunch of adjustments and - I can guarantee you - bunch of things we don't immediately see.
Any manufacturers of industrial products does that after entry into service - immediately launches cost reduction to maximize their profit margin.

If you want the premium car then as others mentioned look for 2016+ so you can get sync 3 with Apple CarPlay.

If you want a base model than it doesn’t matter.

SD are more secure because they are dumb as rocks. USB drives have more sophisticated communications with the host. As such, they can be modified to do all sorts of unwanted things to any system they are plugged into. Odds of any one person being a victim? Pretty low but SDs virtually nil.

Also, I thought the sd was for the navigation system too. Am I wrong? I don't remember why I believe this.
