Couple months ago I blew my trans at the drag strip thought it would be quick to just replace clutches and few other components . We have been dealing with 3-4th shift flare after replacing all new clutches , gaskets , seals , valve body , cdf drum along with other stuff but still haven’t fixed the 3-4 shift flare issue . Any trans builders will chim In on what it could cause this .

Did you update your solenoid strategy/characterisation?

Are you on the OEM TCM calibration?

Did you replace the steels as well as the fibers?

3-4 shift is in the "E" clutch.

Double check fluid level as well, and you don't have to screw the dipstick all the way in to check the level, just in case you didn't know.

replaced all clutches steels . Fluid is good and it’s on Lund tune but reset adaptation .

There are 3 O-rings on the rear of the input shaft. It's all to easy to nick or cut one when you reinstall the E clutch pack. I assume you replaced these?

If you did not heavily lube the interior of the E clutch drum where the O-rings enter, as well as the o-rings on the input shaft (Trans-gel or better yet the Perma-Tex Ultra-Slick) then you could have damaged one of these.

F clutch drum uses teflon sealing rings that have to be sized once replaced or they too can be damaged. F clutch is driven in 4th, so this is where you may have a leak in a circuit.

This would obviously have to be fixed, not a programming thing.

Per the trans builder all been checked out . He thinks at this point there might be a small like in the trans case itself that he’s not seeing

Are all other shifts normal in part throttle as well as WOT?

All other gears shift normal and as smooth as it here just that 3-4th shift
Reading through the above, if all was "checked" by the shop who did the work, and the problem is only in the 3-4, then wouldn't the issue still be tied back to the E-clutch?
