21 HP in Track Mode, auto shifting, the WOT acceleration typically shifts at 7400rpm in the lower gears but the 6-7 shift occurs at 6800rpm. My research seems to indicate that one would need a tune to raise this shift point. Has anyone been successful in raising the 6-7 shift rpm point and who did the tune? Does anybodies ride do the 6-7 shift at 7400rpm with the OEM tune?

You‘re a better man than me if you’re able to pay attention to the tach at max rpms in 6th gear. It’s all I can do to take my eyes off the road long enough to check the 2-3 shift point. Stuff happens real fast.

But I’m talking about the street and maybe you’re on the track?

This is a pretty easy fix in the tune. This is what the table looks like in PCMTec:

The WOT shift points are specified in 2 tables and the PCM logic chooses the lower one. The other table is set to 7240 in Base and 7500 in Sport, so it reverts to 6700 for both. If you have PCMTec tuning software you can fix this very easily by raising these numbers to whatever you want but.

Yes, one would think so but some of the folks using HP Tuner software seem to struggle finding the right combination of limits to modify. I noticed on Steeda’s Mach 1 tune video that their tune raised the 6-7 shift point.

Do you also have to change oss or does the Mach 1 os only use rpm? I am new to fords and trying to learn the logic.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't 7 gear where the "overdrive" clutch pack engages? So theoretically your car would reach its top speed before 7 gear? Correct me if I'm wrong!

Everything I’ve seen points to it shifts at the lower of the two values. Lately it seems like more are setting the oss table “out of the way” and controlling wot shifts with the wot table.

Thank you, I figured it would use lowest value but wasn't sure if oss came into play.

The A10 is awesome especially on a road course. Upshifts and downshifts are spot on when you let the transmission do the work. And yes my only issue is between 6th and 7th gear. Gears 1 thru 6 are nice and tight but shifting into 7th you drop about 500 RPM’s and loose momentum. I wish the tight gear ratio, or overdrive wouldn’t change until 8th or 9th gear.

Agree, the time in 6th is real short then the shift to 7th occurs which is 1:1.
