A clutch change might help but you've got to remember how agricultural these boxes are. In the UK, they're in Land Rovers, Transit vans - favoured by strong-armed construction blokes who smash through the gears with no sympathy. I've come to realise these are ham-fisted boxes, built for abuse and power, but with no finese. I'd try the BG first, then you'll know to put that in everytime. At 42k miles on the stock clutch I have been obsessing over whether to spring for a McLeod RST clutch. With the current clutch grabbing just fine, I don’t feel cost justified just yet. Unless replacing the clutch with a RST would eliminate my 1-2 nibble, then that just might be compelling?
