Ford just tweeted this:

#MustangWomen Wednesday: Twitter Q&A with the women behind the all-new Mustang

In honor of Women’s History Month, we’re hosting a Twitter Q&A with two women who played key roles in developing the all-new Mustang and throughout the pony’s 50-year history. Vehicle Integration Supervisor Michele Lubin Henney, who ensures a world-class driving experience, and U.S. Mustang Brand Manager Melanie Banker, who oversees the vehicle’s marketing and customer communications, will take your questions for an hour on Wednesday, March 12 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. EDT.

Click here to submit a question in advance and follow along at #MustangWomen.

Our Further with Ford 2014 Trends Report noted that more and more women are taking leading roles in politics and the workplace. Michele and Melanie are two great examples, and they’re looking forward to sharing their experiences and knowledge with you on Twitter.

They won't be able to answer anything I'm really interested in but honestly, at this point I'll take any prepared spiel they wanna give us. It's been way too quiet.

A really good question for the Brand manager would be why they are waiting to reveal final specs. She would be responsible for designing the marketing plan for the car.

She might not be able to tell us when the info is coming but at least we might understand why we must wait.

Well that was pretty uneventful.

The only thing worth reposting is they confirmed it will be in dealerships this Fall (not just late 2014). That's anywhere from 9/22 to 12/20 this year. Let's hope it starts with a 9!

100% speculation, but I think its to leave a question mark for the 2016 Camaro design team for as long as possible. If they release weight #'s and hp/tq #'s early it might allow the Camaro time to make changes and perhaps match or surpass the new mustang.

Hey I'll take it :)

If Job1 is 8/11 no way we see it in dealerships past September.

in the simple terms i understand it.... Job 1 2015 is the beginning of regular production cars to be sold for a model year, a few months after that there may be enhancements or slight tweaks to the car (stuff we might never notice like clutch spring supplier change), possibly additional options, or price adjustments that would be called job 2. then possibly job 3, then start over at job 1 2016 model year

Team Camaro can snipe the spec list all they want, the final product is all that matters. If they want to rate their engine 5hp more than the Mustang it won't magically make their car perform better than us.

In the world of equality why do we have a specific instance of highlighting women's involvement with the Mustang? In the world of equality does any group deserve a special month or a special thread? Society supports equal pay and equal rights so why do we have to point out any specific groups input into a project that involved multiple different types of human beings? Where is the female outcry and denouncement for this blatant instance of sexism and offensive act towards men?

Are we going to have a male involvement in the Mustang thread? I'm betting not and it's sexist and I'm offended...

I understand, but if they had the hp/tq and weight numbers early on in development they'd have a benchmark. As of now its up in the air and they're having to make decisions without knowing for sure where the mustang will be.

As I said, that's 100% speculation on my part.

Why do you think Ford would wait so long before releasing this info? Do you think its really not finalized at this point or is there more to it?

I thought a Ford executive announced this plan. I thought they said that if they could they wouldnt release stats until the car hit the showroom floors because of the competition. Maybe I was dreaming or had one to many jack and gingers.

I'm guessing the numbers will wow us, and Ford doesn't want to release them since they still have 2014 models to sell.
