My impression so far for the upgrades are extremely positive. It has lost that floating feeling. I think it looks good lowered. Ride is a little harder, but I found that when I reduced the tire pressure from 35 PSI to 32 PSI the ride improved dramatically. Now it almost the same as pre-mod comfort wise and much better handling. MPG I have a measured improvement of about .9 MPG not exactly sure if it is due to lowering the car or some other difference(weather or tires??) Tires are sticky, first thing I noticed was picking up crap on the road. One thing that sucks is going over NJ Transit railroad tracks...some sort of rubber material on the crossing the car doesn't like it at all .... guess is the sway bars or springs not really sure. Other RR tracks not so bad. This weekend is track day so will update after.:ford:

Did you track the car before all the upgrades?

Yes I did...I am in group one so had an instructor on board. Great guy and a Mustang driver...his race car was a Boss 302 and his personal track car a GT500(which he took me out in what a trip). So I asked for him as my instructor if I don't get him I will beg him to take me out in my car. In any case he told me to change the tires 1st and maybe some better sway bars. Done and done. Brakes upgrade was our classroom instructor's idea. Done. What I couldn't do was get a real track tire and wheels....it is my DD so wanted to try to improve without destroying the ride. As a side note I am trying to stick with FRPP including possible tune(if it ever comes out).

I want an update when you get back from the track! Hopefully this cold weather is not too much of a factor.

I guess (hope) the instructors also told you to bump up that tyre pressure to at least 38psi for the track. Don't want to overheat that rubber or roll a tyre off.

Alright! Had a great time at the track.
Breakdown.
Brakes(no pun intended) The GT/EBPP brakes with Steeda lines and the Motul 600 worked great. Zero give, super firm throughout. Fantastic couldn't be happier with this. Instructor gave thumbs up too.
Tires Much better, though I had to learn how they were different. With the AS Goodyear tires I was almost drifting around turns so input on the throttle didn't do much to my turning radius with the Conti DW I was pushing the car out on the turns as I still had good grip. It took me a while to quit getting an ear full from my instructor. He commented that they were very grippy. Not bad for 235s.
Suspension was much more settled.

So my numbers on the Accelerometer
Before After
Left .91 1.07(this was a pucker moment)
Right .98 1.03
Brake .97 1.09
Acc .7 .7
Think I have them right....they are much better then previous ...not up the GT350 area but pretty good I think for 235 wide tire.
My pucker moment I came in way too hot on turn 5 of Thunderbolt....I didn't turn early but my heel toe sucked and well when the instructor says "well you saved it", it is not a great endorsement of your driving. Good thing is the car stayed planted didn't roll and straightened out. I avoided downshifting late haha after that.

Great to hear about the Conti tires. Sounds like a pretty good option.

I had it installed with the dealer I bought from ... Larson ford...they matched Levittown pricing which is fair.
