Folks,
I have a Ford Racing X-pipe and a set of Roush axle backs (the std. 1 outlet per side units).
Its just too loud.
I love the tone and aggressiveness the X-pipe brings, so I dont want to get rid of that. However, the sheer volume of the two combined is too much for me, and probably upsetting 1/2 my neighbourhood... so I have to change something.
My thoughts are to switch to the Roush 4-tip passive/active system and leave the inside tips blanked off for now, and then upgrade to the full active system at some point in the future.
Does this sound sensible, does anyone have this setup already?
Now, another question.... I can see from pictures on the interwebs that the 4-tip axle backs connect much further down the original exhaust than my current 2-tip axle backs.
As you can imagine, my original exhaust is now pretty much in pieces after installing the FR X-pipe. So, will the Roush 4-tip unit bolt directly to the Ford Racing X-pipe, or will I need to use a small section of the original exhaust, along with lots of connectors/patches etc (which I really hate).
The passive/active system along with the valance is a big investment here in Europe, so I want to get it right.
Thanks for any help :hail:
