I've had this car for about 1.5 years. In that time I have received more complements than I have combined in any of the past vehicles I've owned.

I've had everyone from 6 year old boys to 60 year old men tell me 'nice car' or give me a thumbs up. I've been in parking lots sitting in my car and have had people check it out without realizing I'm in the car.

I know others have posted similar experiences - even still I thought about making a post like this for a long time, but always decided against it. Tonight though, at the McDonalds drive though took the cake - and was the event that made me have to post this.

There is a girl in her late teen/early twenties ahead of me. All of the sudden her camera comes out of the window like she is taking some weird angled selfie of herself. I think, is she taking a picture of my car. Naw, no way.

So that is that. Turns out as I am heading home I pass her and then stop at a light next to her. Right before the light turns green I look over and she has her camera out again. I roll down the window right as the light is changing and get a "I love mustangs" (and then a honk from teh car behind me) from her.

Ha. I wish my wife was like that. I know you dont' believe me :) so I've included video proof. :)

I thought that scenery looked familiar. I'm from Calgary as well. I've actually seen your car ripping past me one morning awhile back. It sounds awesome.

Even if I wasn't married, me being ~20 years older probably would have been a little creepy if I asked her if she wanted a ride...

Thanks. Small world. You must be in the Mckenzie Towne area?

Must be nice. I banked on the car being an attention grabber. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case. I had more thumbs up and comments when I got my Tiburon for heavens sake! Maybe people are just that intimidated by the car? I really don't know.

Don't feel bad. Most people won't say anything, they'll just think it. Only certain kinds of people will go out of their way to interact with a stranger. You've just been running into shyguys.

I've gotten a few thumbs up and stuff so far. Though most of it has been from other mustang drivers. I was driving out to Tooele last weekend and was playing around with a chick in a 2014-ish 5.0 on an empty stretch, on my way home a few days ago I was getting a thumbs up from a guy in a '03 or '04 mach1 while I was drooling over his car (just always loved the shaker scoops they had). Got compliments from a neighbor who just bought a used 2014 coyote a few days after I bought my car. I see a butt-load of mustangs out here, but haven't found too many S550's driving around yet.

The first month I got this car, my neighbor would come out at least once a week as I was going to work to compliment the body style or the color. Then one day his wife even came out to compliment it.

Every day I drive my Corolla, I feel like I've punished myself with a cheap efficient car and lost a testicle.

My FR-S got comments all of the time, car shows, gas stations, random stoplights. Not always the greatest comments... "Hey, is that a Supra?" Sigh...

Yes, Cranston. S550's are pretty rare in this city so I can see why you're getting the love.
No kidding. I can literally count on 2 hands how many s550's I've seen in the last 1.5 years. One hand if we want to talk only GTs. I don't quite get it.

It certainly is not a daily occurrence with me. Has probably happened to me about 8-10 times so far. But these are actual comments, not just a thumbs up here or there - of which I've actually only had a few.

Last Friday I had a guy in a tiburon riding my tail to a degree, he pulls into a Macs parking lot after me, gets out of his car and starts asking me all kinds of questions. He had a lot of regret - was like, "God I love those cars, just got my car, I knew I should have bought the mustang instead. Man that is an nice car". I just smile and nod.

She had a friend too!

Before I bought this car, I was somewhat seriously considering a change of pace and going for something a lot cheaper and a lot more fuel efficient. In the end, I just couldn't do it.
