Can someone that's had this done please post a pic of it?

Reason I ask is because my ETIS is not showing it as needing to be done on my car but looking at what I THINK is the offending loom (the thick cabling under the battery) is pretty close to the manifold & it looks to me like it should be pulled back out the way.

Without a pic of a fixed car I can't tell if I need to bug my dealer about it.

I think you have to remove the air filter to get a look at it.I can't see clearly where they have done mine.

Don't think it's that, follow battery cable down its in that general area near alternator, engine mount, under air filter

yeah that has also been done but i cant get a picture of it, the biggest tell on mine was the factory tape that binds the 2 looms by the battery was cut and replace with electrcal tape

Gent's, I know it needs to be done and it will be. But they've known about this for weeks and only now is it taking them by surprise! That's the rub!

Didn't you say someone else's car from that dealer has had it done and they were still denying knowing anything about it or was that someone else?

Not only that but I seem to recall your dealer is my dealer in Reading?

Dealership rang me with same issue but said they had their mechanic do a temporary fix for now and were happy let me have it on the basis I bring it back in a week or two for the official part.

I am also keeping an eye on the area myself to ensure the cables keep away from manifolds. :)

Duplicated the post from my own thread in case anyone misses it.

My car was bulit on the 24th Sept 2015 so I don't know how this wiring loom "fix" has been done to mine and not some others but I assume this is it:

Interestingly I checked the other side to find this loom was hanging loose so plugged those two grey rings back into the holes in the body:

I'd assumed this fix was due to a new owner's car catching fire as per this thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=105&t=1560268, yet having checked the dates, that guy picked his car up and it subsequently caught fire the day after I got mine and mine hasn't been back to the dealer since. So I'm guessing this issue & the fire are unrelated?

Hmmm.....
