I know the GT350 is expected to create a lot of brake dust
and mine is not failing to deliver it in buckets. However for those of you with experience with track brake pads is the amount of dust expected to be more with track pads or less? Just trying to educate myself.

My understanding is that Ford went with black colored wheels specifically because of the extreme amount of dust involved with the brakes.

Yeah the dust is BAD, found the best way to clean is the old fashioned way, soapy water and a sponge and time  Even a "Mild" workout with the car makes a mess.

If a track pad dusts less, it will typically be louder (i.e. Squeaky)

Yeah, be glad you have black wheels. The pads are huge; more surface area, more dust.

I waxed my rims hoping to make cleanup easier.

wax doesn't really help at all/ I spray wax the rims, then run a cloth, they look great while parked, but one trip to work and its like I wasted my time. really don't mind too much. I actually enjoy detailing my car. relaxing...

I've never tried it, but I think for a while the NASCAR boys were using non-stick cooking spray to keep dust off their wheels.

I do coat my wheels and it helps to make removal of dust easier.

It's difficult to generalize for all racing pads, but quite often they use a nasty combination of material that eats up painted wheels. I don't think 99.9% of people will need to "upgrade" the pads in this car.
