I just realized why I like all the premium models! They have the that...I can't think of the word...those vertical lines rally cars have. as well as a black portion between the two parts of the bumper, whereas the base is all one color (color of the car)

Apparently I can't even get the rear valance to fit quad tips (only premium models). Does anyone know if I could buy someones used premium rear fascia and put that on? Really like the look.

Or maybe worth it to wait til more bumpers come out.

Could I paint or plastidip the area on my bumper to give it the same contrast?

You can direct swap/buy the premium bumpers (front/rear) and associated parts and they will fit. Unless you really want the stock ones though, I would wait until the aftermarket comes out with more. Everything will blow up for this car after SEMA (November).

For the time being you can def dip the bottom of the valance, or wrap it like mine is to add contrast.

The Plastidip has held up surprisingly well for me.

Thanks! If anyone decides to do it themselves, make sure to take your time taping things off. Also keep in mind you have to peel the tape off before you let the dip dry or else the dip will peel as well. It's easiest to do the underside first before going up near the tape.

Hehe looks good guys. new project! Edwin you didn't leave a small portion at the bottom yellow like the premium models would have?

Hmm I've always wanted quad tips. But I want an exhaust NOW. It'll only fit those roush rear valances though. Think it's worth it to wait for rear valances that will fit a base model and fit quad tips?

Anyone have a video of pics or how to do this? Or pretty intuitive.

I tried it once leaving those two areas the body color but it was extremely difficult to tape off because there isn't a perfect lip on the base model. The base also doesn't have the two guns in that area so going full black doesn't take away from them like it would on the premiums. The problem is you have to paint the Plastidip in one full coat around the areas where the tape is. Otherwise the dip will start to dry and it will peel along with the tape when you go to take it off. So the less taped off areas, the easier the job will be. You can do it without having to worry about taping any of the lights or reflectors though. Those peel off easily when your done. Just go ahead and apply a thick coat on them. The thicker it is the easier it is to peel off in one piece.

I also have a base GT and I really want a quad tips exhaust (Roush). Sounds like I need to wait :-(

I'm not waiting. I bought a premium bumper and the Roush valance and am ready to start cutting the premium up for it.

I am installing my 2013 GT500 quad tip mufflers back there. I will modify them once I paint and install the bumper.

I plastidipped mine as well. Did it in early dec, and have had no issues.

I want to see what it takes for the RTR diffuser on a base bumper.

My apologies, I meant you would have to buy the front premium skid plate in order to get any premium lips
