I attempted this but failed. I peeled the tape up right after I laid my last coat but it dried so fast and started peeling. I may just use paint instead of dip. Someone on another forum used bumper paint from auto zone. I'm pretty sure if you use paint you can wait for the paint to dry and not have to worry about messing up the finish.

I did the same thing. If interested, you can read my post in this thread. I posted a pic of when I peeled the tape line and that was done the next day after paint was fully dry. You still want to go nice and slow when pulling the tape line and pull the tape back not up of that makes sense

I plasti dipped mine and it gets very dirty most of the time. I was thinking of going to a paint shop to get it colored "shiny black". As well as the front splitter and side rocker panels.

just clean, mask and tape.

one can was all I needed for like 6+ coats. when i still had a stock bumper. in my case it was just part of the valence since I have a premium.

I dipped my faux valence, deck lid and around the tail lights to eliminate all the gloss black plastic look. It's out of place in my opinion. I did my badges in matte metallic grey too.

It looks good, but as mentioned above I feel like the dirt would really get on my nerves
