I attempted to dip the bottom portion of my base model diffuser following the tips I found in this thread http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13523&highlight=dip+diffuser. All was going great, I got 4-5 nice solid coats on the bottom part, then sprayed the tape line, and immediately started to peel the tape. The tape came off fine, and I got a nice clean line. However, when I got to the curve at theb end of the bumper it became very apparent that I had overestimated my masking abilities. I took over an hour to mask everything and thought I had done a good job. But, the curves came out pretty jagged and I missed the body line in a couple spots. I ended up just feeling defeated and peeled it all off. The problem is that is that I have now fallen in love with the look and need to figure out a way to make it happen. This leads me to my question, what are my other options? For anyone with knowledge of vinyl, is this something that somebody could wrap? Anyone have any idea how much a paint shop would charge to spray it flat black? Maybe I could just have tape it for me and I can spray it?
