I kept on having shift crunch every so often and gave me this vague feel.
Once I installed the bracket the shifts are as crisp as you could want.
I compare it to closing the bolt on a rifle, just very precise and deliberate and you never miss your shift.
I see all these people taking springs off the clutch and all these other tricks but this thing is amazing.
A bit of a beotch to install but if you install it at the same time you put in your cat back it's easy.

I have pics is anyone is interested but go on YouTube and cj pony parts has a great review and install vid.

So I'm still trying to figure all of this out. Basically this stiffens up the stock shifter correct?

So my question is, can it be used with an aftermarket shifter like the one from Barton?

Can it be used with a poly trans mount?

Can all 3 be used together for a super tight package?

If you ever are in Miami send me a message and I'll let you try it out. It's one of those things that you have to experience to understand.

Here are more details on the bracket. It firmly bolts the shifter to the transmission as a solid unit instead of the factory body-mounted remote shifter.

The factory method mounts the shifter to the body to reduce noise and vibration, but this can cause excessive movement between the shifter and transmission causing funky shifting. Mounting the shifter to the transmission gives you a solid setup where missing a shift will be entirely driver error.

THIS BRACKET probably IS INDEED the best MOD

I just watched the video and saw this bracket. I am in awe that someone took the time to try to make a nice sturdy structure for the shifter.

How's the NVH? I'm very interested but definitely don't want to add any annoyances inside?

after hitting the track yesterday i have to do this mod or a Barton/ MGW. This car makes me feel like it is my first stick shift vehicle. I really can't believe how hard it is to hit 3rd gear when up in the RPM's.

The steeda trans bushing definitely helps with this.

Will this have an effect on the transmission warranty?
