I Think I Regret My Purchase....

I picked up a V6 - I love the mustang and the platform. My V6 is of course base. I have NOT started modding yet but Did order 2 items.

1. The Gas Hood Struts an
2. The Rousch Side Scoops.
3. The Lighted Sill Plates.

The Hood struts are here but the side scoops and lighted sill plates are not yet.

The other day I was stalking my dealer and I saw that they have a

2015 Ruby Red Loaded Premium EcoBoost PP for 33,795.

MY V6 Oxfordwhite only has 700 miles on it and is immaculate. I called them up and they are willing to try and work something out with me for the Ruby.. I haven't gone in to try it out yet. -

The Eco's Interior is leaps and bounds over the Base V6 and I'm thinking of doing it just for the Nav and Ambient lightings and Trims/Leather/Torque and the fact that its already FI......

What you guys think... I'm having a serious remorse moment here lol.

Regretting your purchase 700 miles isn't a good sign of things to come. Definitely need to really think this over.

Yep. Agreed. You may lose some money on switching over OP but it's completely worth it (if you can afford it, which it sounds like you can) to be happy in what you drive everyday. Ford purposely stripped down the options on the V6 and allowed the I4 to get all those bells & whistles precisely so that they move more of the Ecoboost models. V6 may be phased out altogether sometime soon.

Its almost like whole new different car. If this is your daily driver Im surprised you did not do this sooner. Plus your insurance will be cheaper, as you will be going from V6 To I4.

Yeah... I think the thing thats pissing me off.. is the Trim to be honest. I don't really care too much about the speed but its the fcking trims...

I lost all that with the Base... For basically 40 dollars less per month over the EcoBoost.

This Premium Eco has EVERYTHING except the 50th appearance package.

Completely worth it. You're better off getting the loaded eco and not modding at all than keeping the V6 and modding it

Do it soon. You don't want to be stuck with something and constantly going "what if" every time you drive it. It sucks even more when you see the car you really wanted to get when someone else is driving it.

Went through that with my last car. I settled for an interior package inferior to the one I wanted and got pissed every time I road in a friends car that had all the features I craved.

The EB version is a GREAT car. I had one for 6 days. (long story)

The reason I did not even look at the V6 is just what you say: trim I wanted leather, lighting, MyTouch (BIGGIE), Shaker Audio (BIGGIE). I could not live without these options, at the least. Since the V6 did not offer them, it was off the table.

Since you obviously are bothered by this enough to contact the dealer, do it NOW while they are willing and you have so little miles on the V6. I feel like you will regret it even worse if that window of opportunity slips away.

6 days after getting my EB, the dealer damaged it. They catapulted me into a GT for the same money with the same options. I do miss that boost gauge showing the "power"......that was fun!

If you are unhappy now, it will only get worse... Trust me. If you can do it financially without getting screwed, do the upgrade. But what about a GT?

...and to add on to the firewood pile...the Premium comes with selectable drive modes which will help in NJ for the winter. The 'snow' mode will help with traction and is one of the top reasons I sprung for the Premium over the base (that and heated seats of course...uhem).

I did this, I ended up taking a 4000 dollar hit but was soooo relieved that I didn't have to worry about regretting my purchase 5 years down the road. I say go for it if you have the cash. The base vs premium interior is soooo much different, that alone is worth most of the difference.
