After all of the discussions regarding the subject, and the possible (and probable) logistical, financial, etc. difficulties with replacing enough of the S550 to turn the front end into a GT350, I went ahead and reached out to a few reputable companies regarding the feasibility of doing Carbon Fiber Grill Replacement and/or entire GT350 Inspired Front Fascia replacement. Of which, would bolt onto the S550 without hood, quarter panel, or any other modifications to accommodate.

Caveat - The one company that has replied with some serious interest, wants pretty solid proof there is a market niche to fill, to justify the R&D that a project like this will require.

As such - who, honestly, would be interested in either a full Carbon Fiber Grill (full set/bottom and top pieces, possibly even Fog Lamp Pieces to turn them into braking ducts) in the $500-$600 range, or, a Full Front GT350 Inspired Front Fascia including the aforementioned Carbon Fiber grill surrounds for probably $2000 range?

Keep in mind this would be a direct bolt-on part with no extra modifications needed, unlike replacing the S550 front end with a GT350 Fascia (assuming you can even source one sans VIN).

If we can gather 30 seriously interested...we can make this a reality.

Annnnnnd go.

That all depends on what they mean by "inspired".
I've seen a lot of "inspired" designs that just look crap, but if they really do make something worth buying, then i'm in.

Well, because of the size restraints of the current hood and narrower fenders, it can't be exact. But what I'm shooting for is as exact as can be had within the parameter of a direct bolt-on S550 replacement.

Is the one company who replied, your employer or your own company?

It's the lower hoodline that the GT-350 has that makes the front of the car so appealing to me. Unfortunately to achieve that requires replacing the entire front clip. (Hood, Fenders, and Bumper Cover)

Neither.

I went around contacting companies that offered similar products for other models, regarding the possibility of them offering this product.

They replied that they're willing to give it a shot, but not without sufficient interest.

Hence this thread.

I don't have anything to gain out of this other just wanting the fascia to be a real part. :D

Yep, I was afraid to chime in because I know OP is looking for support on the bumper above all else, but it's that slimmed down hood that really does it for me along with the heavily stamped inboard fender surfaces where it meets.

I like the bumper but I'd hope they make a hood to go hand in hand. The fenders I could do without as much as I like them.

It's a start.

Build the main part that ties it all in, then move backwards.

But again, just wanting to see if there is actual interest to get something going.

If not, it won't happen. Well, not right now anyway.

I would be game for it but I'm not going to hold my breath. It seems like every time something like this happens it take so long it will probably be out by the end of the S550 run.
