I didn't understand this trim at the time of ordering my car. I thought it was some useless trim and now I understand it includes soft touch material on the door and center console. If I had knew about the soft touch plastic, I'd order this package on my car no doubt. Unfortunately I found out about this after I've had already received my car. I feel Ford didn't explain enough about this trim on their website and why it is not already included in the Premium since it's only $395 more is baffling to say the least. :frusty:

Guess I'm stuck with the hard cheap plastic.

No, but I got the base GT and put in my own premium leather seats and door panels which are better :p. But yeah if I had paid 5000 more on a premium then I might regret that. I honestly dont know what you all are complaining about on the top of the door panel anyway. Ive got the base and the door isnt all that hard or anything. Certainly a lot better than the hard plastic in previous Mustangs.

Thing was, at the time I ordered my car (June) nobody really had any idea what the 68B option was. Ford really didn't do a good job of explaining it. I was just lucky that it came with the 50th Anniversary Package (which I got for the grille and faux gas cap).

I have to disagree since I previously had a 2010 GT. The base plastic is no better than the plastic used then.

Personally for $400 it should be included in the 401A trim. It shouldn't be a separate option.

When I order in a couple months you bet that option will be ticked.

Do you have a thread about that or any pics anywhere?

Well yeah duh. I mean if I were getting a premium why wouldnt you get that its so cheap. But I have my 15 parked side by side with my 05 and they arent the same. The new one is more textured and resists marking.

I agree, it should be included in the premium. At a minimum, the soft touch plastics. I didn't have any idea I wanted it and was planning to order my car minus that. I just so happened to find one that had just rolled off the truck exactly like I wanted my configured but with that option. I'm glad I was lucky enough, because otherwise I definitely would have regretted it.

The center console is still hard plastic with 68B, at least the part around the cup holders / shifter area. The lid to the opening storage area is soft, I'm not sure if that is part of the 68B option or not.

I think it's the middle console lid gets leather wrapped and the contrast stitching as well as the upper dash. But, you're correct the area by the cupholder/shifter parking brake is still the same.

I had been led to believe from this forum that the Premier trim with black leather included white contrast stitching while the non-Premium black leather came with black stitching. Since I'm not a big fan of contrast stitching, I didn't get the Premium package.

I was disappointed to learn upon delivery that my non-Premier interior came with white contrast stitching, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Now I wish I had gone for the upgrade.

I want 68B, but I want dark saddle more. So, I will more than likely be skipping 68B.

Initially, I ordered my car without the Premier trim and ended up adding at the last moment before the car was built. At $395 it was really a no brainer.

That's somewhat the point. IMO it is again the stupid FORD order guidelines that pxxxx me off. Sorry! You can only get the premium trim package in RAVEN or Race Red. What is with all other customers? I got Dark Saddle (NO premium leather available) - and - Ford Canada changed that - out of the blue moon - to "Bronze Fire leather" in my order. Why they did that? Not even FORD in Dearborn has a clue. "This is a printing error on your window sticker. There is NO Bronze Fire leather on order... bla bla bla." Do I regret it? No. I couldn't order it in the 1st place with my Dark Saddle. My door inlets have Dark Saddle stitching what looks cool too. But I am sure that the after market is coming out with something sooner or later.
