Hey guys, this is Steve formally from BBR (another subject for a later time) Im still around this industry and will help anyone with anything they need. Now with that out of the way, I want to share some pictures, a quick video, and my review on the BARTON shifter for the 2015 Mustang GT.
This past weekend at a Mustangs of Massachusetts lunch meet, Dave who is the owner of BARTON decided to show up. This for many was a nice surprise because they were the first ones to see and feel this shifter in person.
Now Dave and I are good friends and I have no problem critiquing his products as I am like everyone else, I want something that is a good quality and will last. Dave first created this shifter back in 2012 and released it for the 2011+ Mustang. While at Mustang Week 2012, I got to see this shifter on display and told Dave that it looks like a tank and should call it the M1A1. Dave quickly picked up the name and kept it over the years. Due to some things going on, this product was put on hold BUT is now about to be released. You are going to see this shifter out for the 15 Style first then the 11-14, it will be ready early Spring.
Below is a picture of the compete assembly Barton is going to offer for the 2015. You will notice that this shifter will replace the whole housing along with support brackets and safety loop.

Now once this shifter is installed you will be able to maintain the stock shifter ball, and while keeping a look that many have said they have grown to like.

Also, one thing I personally like which is one of the biggest features that this shifter will have that others wont is the stock style pull-up for reverse.

We made a quick video clip of myself driving with this shifter. The one in the car is just the shifter without the bracket. I did not have a lot of room to go crazy as there was lots of traffic and Massachusetts winter road conditions. well that's enough LOL. I wanted to just show how much quicker the shifts are with normal driving, and one time going partial WOT. This is on a bone stock 2015 GT.

All in all, I was really impressed with this shifter. It had little to no play while in gear, a much shorter shift and felt a lot more secure over the factory one. I will be getting this once I pick up my 15 Mustang.
I hope this helps people and offers enough information.
